nope, never heard of them.. Its really hard to quit, I tried so many times pero hinahanap ng taste buds ko eh, sabi nila psychological daw, pero what I need siguro is a substitute, especially kung medyo stressful ang job mo..

Voodz...have u tried the nicotine gum and/or patch ? Those are usually available at the pharmacy without prescriptions. You can also discuss it with a company doctor where u work right now.
piso per post... savin' for a piece of Cablog art!!!

Quit cold turkey. Gradual weaning away is bull, you eventually get back to the habit, and end up worse than before. Nicotine patches may work, but this must be accompanied by discipline, and a strong will not to touch that stick, except..perhaps, that five-finger thing (pahingi...)
I had to suffer a bad case of pneumonia, plus bronchitis, that I really had to quit. The taste became really awful.

yeah, discipline is really needed, pero maski anung gawin ko, its really hard, tama ka, minsan its getting worse, ewan ko ba, lalo na kung busog ka, sarap mag yosi..

FYI:
Within 20 minutes after you smoke that last cigarette, your body begins a series of changes that continue for years.
20 Minutes After Quitting
Your heart rate drops.
12 hours After Quitting
Carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal.
2 Weeks to 3 Months After Quitting
Your heart attack risk begins to drop.
Your lung function begins to improve.
1 to 9 Months After Quitting
Your Coughing and shortness of breath decrease.
1 Year After Quitting
Your added risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker’s.
5 Years After Quitting
Your stroke risk is reduced to that of a nonsmoker’s 5-15 years after quitting.
10 Years After Quitting
Your lung cancer death rate is about half that of a smoker’s.
Your risk of cancers of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, kidney, and pancreas decreases.
15 Years After Quitting
Your risk of coronary heart disease is back to that of a nonsmoker’s.

Clyd and Voodz: haan kayo gayam nga naka one pack a day. At my worse, I was already smoking THREE packs a day...I light up a stick, after three or four puffs, I light another. When I was hospitalized before I quit, my x-rays reveal what my doctor called a "dirty lung", all covered with tar. The next step, if uncontrolled, would have been emphysema, or worse, cancer.
But the Lord was good to me. I quit cold turkey. I had several friends who stood by me, even locking me up at the apartment that I rented, so I could not get out and steal a smoke. Today, exactly seven years since I had my last smoke, I could not stand the smell of tobacco anymore. But that other thing, I'm still willing to try.
Do you know of any farmer up there? ![]()
